Disclaimer
Read this before you rely on a number, a name or a link on this site. It explains the limits of what we can promise.

This disclaimer applies to everything published on https://mb2kb.online: the tools, the preset pages, the blog articles and the help pages. Read it together with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Using the site means you accept it.
Portal size limits can change
Many of our pages quote file-size, pixel and format requirements for job portals, examination boards and government services, in India and elsewhere. We check each figure against an official page or notification before publishing and, where we can, link to the source and say which year’s notice it comes from. The rules are set by the bodies that run the portals, not by us, and they change without warning: a new recruitment cycle, a redesigned upload form or a fresh notification can alter a limit overnight.
Treat our figures as a well-researched starting point, not the final word. Before you upload anything, open the current official notification or the portal’s own help text and confirm the size, dimensions and format it asks for today. If you spot a figure on our site that is out of date, tell us through the contact page and we will correct it.
Decimal and binary kilobytes
We state sizes with 1 kB = 1,000 bytes, the SI convention, and the tool aims to land at or just under your target. A few portals count 1,024 bytes to a kilobyte, so a limit they label “100 KB” is really 102,400 bytes; a file that is just under 100 kB on our scale is therefore also under their limit. If a portal measures in a way you do not expect, choose a slightly lower target to leave a margin.
No affiliation with any portal or authority
Mb2KbSizer is an independent website. We are not connected with, endorsed by or acting for any government department, examination commission, recruitment board, university, passport or visa authority, bank or company whose portal we mention. Names such as SSC, UPSC, IBPS, NEET or Passport Seva appear only to describe where a file-size rule applies, and they remain the marks of their respective owners. We cannot submit applications for you, check your application status or tell you why a portal rejected a file.
Not professional advice
Our articles are general information written for a broad audience. They are not legal, financial, immigration, educational or technical advice, and they do not take account of your particular circumstances. Decisions about your application, your documents or your website are yours to make, ideally after reading the official instructions. Nothing on this site creates a professional relationship between you and us.
Results from the tool
The compressor shows you the exact byte count of the output, and you can compare the result with the original before downloading. We make no guarantee that a given file can reach a given size at a quality you find acceptable, that a portal’s upload checker will accept the file, or that text in a re-rendered PDF will remain selectable. Always keep your original file and inspect the compressed copy yourself. The tool is supplied “as is”, as described in the Terms of Service.
Advertising disclosure
This site is free to use and is being prepared for funding through Google AdSense. If ads are enabled, they are kept away from the tool’s controls so that you cannot click one by mistake, and an ad is never styled to look like a download button. We do not endorse advertised products and receive no payment for mentioning any portal, format or software in our content. Advertising does not influence editorial choices. See the Privacy Policy for when advertising code is loaded and how consent works.
External links
We link to official notifications, browser documentation, standards bodies and other third-party sites because they are the best source for the facts we cite. We do not control those sites, cannot guarantee that a link will keep working or that the page behind it is unchanged, and are not responsible for their content or practices. A link is not an endorsement. If you are about to upload personal documents to an external site, check first that it is the genuine official address.
Errors and corrections
We make honest mistakes: a limit mistyped, a notification superseded, a browser version that changed last week. When we learn of an error we correct the page and update its “Last updated” date. If something on the site looks wrong, please report it through the contact page with the page address and, if you have it, a link to the correct source. We read every message.
Changes to this disclaimer
We may update this page as the site grows. The date at the top shows the current version, and using the site after a change means you accept the updated text.
